ACE Completes “Triple Play” with CHI Franciscan Health Tacoma Facilities

CHI Franciscan Health Heart Centers at St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Francis Hospital are First in Washington state to Receive ACE Accreditation

Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 02, 2015

Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE) today announced that three CHI Franciscan Health hospitals in the Tacoma, Washington area have completed the process of ACE accreditation for cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The three hospitals – CHI Franciscan Heart Center at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, and St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way – are the first facilities in Washington State to receive ACE accreditation.

“We are proud to be part of the broader CHI effort to attain ACE accreditation, which demonstrates that our facilities meet or exceed nationally recognized standards in cardiac care,” commented R. Antonio Secaira, MD, medical director of CHI Franciscan Heart Center. “ACE accreditation is a notable distinction for our three sister facilities. Although two of our facilities operate cardiac services without onsite surgery, they are nonetheless committed to quality care for the local communities they serve.”

CHI Franciscan Health is affiliated with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a national nonprofit health system comprising 105 hospitals in 19 states. CHI has $21.8 billion in assets and received $13.9 billion in 2014 total annual operating revenues. CHI is committed to the communities it serves.
