Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence recently announced the appointment of two new members of its Board of Directors: Joaquin Cigarroa, MD, FSCAI and Michael Cowley, MD, FSCAI. Doctors Cigarroa and Cowley bolster the deep expertise and energetic commitment to quality cardiovascular care of the ACE board. Cigarroa and Cowley join Dr. J Jeffrey Marshall and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bonnie Weiner, internationally recognized leaders in the field of interventional cardiology. Together they offer extensive experience in setting and meeting quality standards, conducting clinical trials, measuring outcomes, and surveying the practices of catheterization facilities across the country.
