    Gregory J. Dehmer, M.D., FACC, FACP, FAHA, FSCAI, ACE Director

    Professor of Medicine at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine and Director of the Cardiology Division at the Scott & White Clinic in Temple, Texas. Scott & White. Past president of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, trustee of the American College of Cardiology.

    Dr. Dehmer earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1975 and completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Following his training, he completed a 3 year obligation in the US Air Force as a cardiologist. Dr. Dehmer then joined the faculty at UT/Southwestern as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Dallas VA Medical Center. In 1988, he moved to the University of North Carolina as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. After 13 years at UNC and promotion to Full Professor, he became Professor of Medicine at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine and Director of the Cardiology Division at the Scott & White Clinic in Temple, Texas. Scott & White is one of the largest mulispeciality clinics in the US with over 1000 physicians and a nationally-recognized Health Plan. Dr. Dehmer is also a past president of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), a 4300 member professional organization representing invasive and interventional cardiologists and now serves on the Board of Trustees of the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

    Dr. Dehmer has participated on the writing committees of several national guidelines, including the ACC's interventional training programs standards, the ACC/AHA guidelines for coronary angiography, the ACC/AHA/SCAI Expert Consensus Document for Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, the SCAI Expert Consensus Document on PCI without on-site cardiac surgery and the ACC/STS/SCAI Appropriateness Criteria for Coronary Artery Revascularization. He is a member of the National Cardiovascular Data Registry management board (ACC-NCDR™) and the former Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Cardiology-CathKIT®, a quality improvement tool for cardiac catheterization laboratories developed jointly by the ACC and SCAI. He has published more than 170 articles and book chapters and has served on the Editorial Boards of Circulation, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the American Journal of Cardiology.

    Dr. Dehmer is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology and specializes in invasive and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
