United Regional Health Care System is located in Wichita Falls, Texas and provides comprehensive medical care including inpatient and outpatient services, advanced diagnostics, surgical specialties and life-saving emergency care to a 9-county service area. It has the area’s only Level II Trauma Center and serves as the Primary Stroke Center for the region.
United Regional is home to the Cardiac Institute which provides comprehensive cardiac services including cardiovascular surgery, cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and diagnostic services. United Regional has received accreditation as Chest Pain Center with PCI and Heart Failure Program. It also has a Certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program and provides a Heart Failure Clinic. Other accredited specialty programs include Joint Replacement, Wound Care, Women’s Imaging, and a Bariatric Center.
United Regional’s passion is to provide excellence in health care for the communities it serves. To accomplish this passion, the System continues to reinvest in advanced technology, modern facilities, and the recruitment and retention of highly skilled employees and physicians to ensure that the current and future medical needs of the area are met.
United Regional is also committed to continue serving as the “safety net” for the uninsured and underinsured the region, and provided over $22 million in charity care in 2015. It also serves the community in educational services, health fairs and screenings and through sponsorship of community organizations’ activities that contribute to the health the community.
