GPS Assumes Management of Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE)

We are excited to share with you some news regarding support of the Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE). We are pleased to inform you that Global Professional Services (GPS), an association management company based in Richmond, Virginia, has been retained by ACE to manage their operational, marketing and sales and support requirements. As you know from your past experiences, ACE is the undisputed premiere hospital accreditation body for cardiovascular practice. This will not change at all; ACE clients can continue to rely on the best and most comprehensive evaluation and accreditation services tailored to your specific needs and requirements.

As many of you may already know, Mary Heisler has retired from her position as the Executive Director of ACE, effective January 1. She leaves ACE in excellent shape. Mary’s tenure as the voice and face of ACE, from its inception to the present, has been highly productive. Under her watch, ACE has grown from a small start-up supported financially by ACC and SCAI to an independent, internationally recognized performance evaluation resource to providers of cardiovascular services.

The GPS team will be led by Sean McElgunn who has over 30 years of working with clients in financial services, banking and nonprofit arenas. Peggy McElgunn, an attorney with over 30 years of supporting nonprofit organizations will be serving as the Director of Operations, working closely with her husband, Sean. Together, along with a team of professionals working along side, they plan on helping raise awareness, recognition and streamline the processes associated with ACE Accreditations.

An ACE accreditation signifies that any institution so accredited provides the highest level of support to their patients, and works constantly to uphold and maintain the ‘gold standard’ of practice in Cardiovascular Care. GPS is committed to continue to provide - and enhance - this high level of support and service to you as we move forward, together, into 2018 and beyond. We are expanding support and services to continue to serve as a team member in your quest for excellence and continued quality improvement.
